Julián Fuentes Reta - Director, dramaturge, performer (Zaragoza, Spain)

Julián Fuentes graduated in Drama at the University of Kent, Canterbury, and has a Masters degree in Contemporary Performance from Edith Cowan University, Perth, Western Australia.

As dramaturge, Julián holds an accesit to the Spanish Bradomin National Prize of Dramaturgy for his play 'El Mar'. Julian  wrote  and  co-directed '25' in Madrid,  and  made a theatrical adaptation of the Vietnamese classical poem 'Truyen Kieu', by Nguyen DDû. The resultant adaptation was named 'Kieu, Historia de Agua / Kieu, A Water Story'.

As an actor, he has participated in the 'Thierry Salmon' workshop, under the direction of Franco Cuadri and Antonio Latella, and was a cast member of the Biennale of Venice award-winning production of 
'Pericles' by William Shakespeare.

Julián has taught workshops for voice, movement and scenic direction in Vietnam, Australia and Canada, in 
institutions such as the School of Contemporary Arts, Edith Cowan University in Australia, the Youth Theatre, 
Hanoi and Ho-Chi-Mihn Universities in Vietnam and the University of Montreal in Canada.

As  director, Julián has created the dramaturgy and stage direction for Corazón de Vaca 's 'The Riddle of the Sphinx' 
'UD' (Urban Dreaming),  'Pieces of a Cow's Heart',  'Corazón de Vaca'  and  'Phaedras Love' by Sarah Kane. Julián 
also directed 'Kieu, Historia de Agua' a Spanish-Vietnamese co-production for Proyecto Kieu, which was premiered 
at the Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid.

Maitland Schnaars - Performer, Storyteller (Perth, Western Australia)

Maitland is a Nyungah performer and poet. Studied contemporary performance at Edith Cowan University. Completed Certificate Three and Four in Indigenous Theatre at WAAPA, Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, 2003.

2011 - Performed in 'If I Drown I Can Swim' at Brisbane's Under the Radar Festival 2011
2010 - Wrote and perfromed in 'If I Drown I Can Swim' at Yirra Yaakin
2009 - Co-wrote and performed in 'The Briding Project' at Deckchair Theatre 
2008 - Wrote and performed in 'Tears of Blood' at Spectrum. 
          Performed in 'Bridging Puentes' at the Internation Expo Zaragoza, Spain 
2007 - Performed in 'Phaedra's Love' at PICA. 
2005 - Mentored and performed in 'Stolen' directed by David Milroy. 
           Co-created and performed in 'U.D.' (Urban Dreaming), a piece of hybrid performance poetry devised 
           around three of his poems, performed at the Overload Poetry Festival in Melbourne, August. 
           Performed 'U.D.' at the National Australian Trauma Society national conference. 
           Performed in 'Coraz√≥n de Vaca', premiered at The Bakery/Artrage Complex. This work was also shown in
           the Artrage Festival in the Chung-Wah Hall. 
           Co-created and performed in 'Dirt Money' at The Power House in the Midland railway yards. 
           Performed in 'The Riddle of the Sphinx' at Spectrum 
2004 - Black-Grey-White Lights' at the Bakery, 'Putting on an Act' a self-devised piece, and 'The Straight Jacket'. 
2003 - Won the Western Mining Corporation Award for Best Indigenous Male artist.

Mia Holton - Video Designer (Perth, Western Australia)

Mia Holton was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. She enjoyed a copywriting and creative development course  at  Vega  Brand  Communication  School,  Johannesburg  in  2003 and the following year she found herself in Perth, WA enrolling in BA Visual Arts at Edith Cowan University, Mount Lawley. At the end of 2004 she took part in the Northbridge  Project  exhibition  at Spectrum Project Space and was also introduced to creating and operating visuals for theatrical performances:

Sarah Neville - Choreographer, Director, Producer (Adelaide, South Australia)

Sarah Neville has an honours degree in theatre and cinema from Flinders University and a Masters of Arts (research) in dance from the Queensland University of Technology in choreographing new media dance.  Sarah studied butoh dance with Kazuoh Ohno and Min Tanaka in Tokyo. In 1999, Sarah began the new media dance production company Heliograph Productions, creating numerous productions including Heliograph Travelogues at Dancehouse and Calculus of the Nervous System for The Adelaide Festival and Ada at the Australian Choreographic Centre. 

As an independent artist Sarah has created work for the Adelaide Fringe, Ausdance Choreolab and The Australian Dance Theatres Ignition season and Strut dance. Professional development has taken Sarah to New York to work with Robert Wilson, to New Delhi to Sarai New Media Lab, and Sweden to work with, Rörelsen. She directed Corazon de Vaca's The Bridging Project, was assistant director for If I Drown I Can Swim 2010, and recently toured this production to Brisbane's Under the Radar Festival, 2011 .  

Sarah devises new media dance, instigates inter-disciplinary practices and invests in multi-platform processes and production outcomes. She is interested in revealing multi-facetted dramatic analogies through contemporary performance to connect ideas, people and cultures whilst honoring difference. Her new media choreographic practice is grounded in the art of designing movement to communicate concepts and stories of the world; contemporary concerns, age old mythologies and futuristic prophecies.

Caitlin McLoughlin - Performer, Musician (Perth, Western Australia)

Caitlin McLoughlin graduated from WAAPA's acting course in 1996. She has worked in France, Holland and Spain performing as a clarinettist, singer, hair terrorist, cartoon dubber, actor and much more.

In WA she has performed with Essential Theatre's season of Shakespeare in the Vines 2006, 2007 & 2008.

She played Anne in Red Ryder's WA production of 'A Moment on the Lips' 2006.

She has been known as Dr Dingaling for 2 years at the children's hospital in her work for The Humour Foundation as a Clown Doctor.

In 2007 she played the title role in Corazón de Vaca's production of Sarah Kane's 'Phaedra's Love'.

After performing at The World Expo in Zaragoza 2008 in Corazón de Vaca's new work, 'Bridging Puentes' she will continue development with choreographer Sarah Neville and dancer Jo Pollit in 'Listen...Silence'.

Iñaki Rubio Moreno - Sound designer, composer, director, performer (Madrid, Spain)

Iñaki  Rubio  has  a  Bachelor of Arts in  Drama from The University of Kent at Canterbury. Since his graduation, Iñaki has managed to combine his career as sound designer, musical composer for stage productions and events, theatrical director and actor.

As  a  musician, Iñaki has  worked closely with the Contemporary Dance ensemble Akelarre dance ('Haberlas Hailas', 'Tum Tu Tak') and in other stage works such as 'Todo Ira Bien', directed by Margarita Reiz and Llamalo X's production of  'El Bosque de los Zapatos'.  Iñaki  has  also  composed  music for numerous non-theatrical companies, such as the original  full-length  studio record,  'Terra Australis',  to  commemorate  the  launching  of  the  European brand of the multinational company of the same name.

As a theatrical director, Iñaki has staged 'The Co-operator' by F. Drrenmatt, and is a founding member of the Spanish company Llamalo X, for which he directed several works such as 'El Bosque de los Zapatos' and 'Los Musiricos'.'

He was the assistant director of 'Kieu, Historia de Agua', directed by Julián Fuentes Reta for Proyecto Kieu, and production assistant and audiovisual coordinator for the Zarzuela foundation on several occasions.

As an actor, Iñaki has worked in the European Co-Productions 'European Odyssey', directed by Swiss director Tomas Schweigen and 'One Day in Europe', directed by the Slovak Patrick Lankarik.
